Jessica Alba Covers 'Latina' August 2011

Jessica Alba Covers 'Latina' August 2011
Jessica Alba shows off her baby bump on the cover of Latina magazine’s August 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (July 12).
Here’s what the 30-year-old Spy Kids 4 actress had to share in the mag’s first ever family issue:
On preparing for her second child: “The first time around, every moment was so new and terrifying and now I know what to expect. It’s like ‘It’s fine, I’ve been there before.’ With Honor, I was constantly asking myself ‘Is she moving? Is her heart beating?’ I’d worry about everything, and with this baby I don’t have the same anxieties.”
On balancing motherhood & her career: “After I had Honor I didn’t leave the house for a while. It was all about changing diapers and feedings and still trying to get back in to the routine of my [acting] thing. I love what I do. But unless it’s worth it, I’m not going to spend time away from my daughter. Before I had her, work was all I had. Now it’s not.”
On the possibility of more kids: “I just have to feel it out. See how my 30s treat me. I just try to live in the moment.”

Daniel Craig Covers 'Esquire' August 2011

Daniel Craig Covers 'Esquire' August 2011
Daniel Craig covers Esquire magazine’s August 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (July 12).
Here’s what the 43-year-old Cowboys & Aliens - and newly married - actor had to share:
On constantly being associated with James Bond: “This has become my way, it’s as simple as that. I mean, since I’ve just become James Bond. And I think, you know, that means being something that people feel they own. And all of the sudden I’m getting magazine covers, when I got nothing for ten years before that. I say it’s just pure luck. And doing covers, people interviewing me, and they want to know everything and I’m going, I’m not gonna f—ing tell you!”
On The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: “It’s as adult as you can possibly make it. This is adult drama. I grew up, as we f—ing all did, watching The Godfather and that, movies that were made for adults. And this is a $100 million R-rated movie. Nobody makes those anymore. And [director David Fincher], he’s not holding back. They’ve given him free rein. He showed me some scenes recently, and my hand was over my mouth, going, Are you f—ing serious?”

International Trailer for FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

by Brendan Bettinger   Posted: May 25th, 2011 at 8:21 pm

friends-with-benefits-justin-timberlake-mila-kunis-slice
Screen Gems kicked off the marketing campaign for Friends with Benefits with a red band trailer, then followed up with a green band trailer.  This new international trailer (the text is Portuguese, so I’m assuming Brazil) lies somewhere in between on the dirty scale.  In fact, I believe if the studio turned this into the MPAA, it would come back stamped in red.  There’s plenty of new footage, but I think I need to forego any further exposure to before seeing the movie.  Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis are affable stars, and I trust writer/director Will Gluck (Easy A) with the colorful subject matter.  But this kind of comedy struggles to charm in such short, concentrated bursts.
I don’t have to last too long: Friends with Benefits opens in the U.S. on July 22.  Patricia Clarkson, Richard Jenkins, and Woody Harrelson also star.  Watch the trailer after the break.

Marking the feature directorial debut of Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, Ted stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel McHale, Patrick Warburton and Jessica Stroup. The story centers on a grown man (Wahlberg) whose wish that his childhood teddy bear would come to life comes true. MacFarlane voices the very R-rated teddy bear. We’ve got a few casting stories for you tonight. First up, Jamie Chung has joined Rob Lowe in the dark political flick Knife Fight, with Julie Bowen, Connie Britton, Jennifer Morrison, Rebecca Mader and Titus Welliver all in talks to join the cast. And yes, that’s three actors from Lost in one movie (Bowen, Mader and Welliver). Lowe plays a political crisis specialist who plays hard and tough in dealing with various October campaign surprises.

Bill Guttentag is directing, with production set to start next month with an eye towards an October 2012 release date, just in time for election season. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Covers 'Complex' June 2011
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rocks a Julien MacDonald blazer on the cover of Complex magazine’s June/July 2011 issue.
Here’s what the 24-year-old model and Transformers actress had to share:
On having to work hard to achieve her goals: “That is one thing I’m really thankful for. I’ve had nine years of working before this kind of movie happened to me. I’m really glad I’ve had struggles in my career. When success finally hits you, it helps put things in perspective. We’re so small. You see these kids get success straight away or they grew up with it, and I feel for them ’cause how do they gauge any sense of reality?”
On whether she makes an effort to stay grounded: “Absolutely. I come from a farm in the middle of nowhere in England. You have to remember where you come from and who you are.”
On whether it took time for her to become comfortable with her body: “Well, it’s a day-to-day thing. I don’t feel comfortable in my body today at all. Any woman will tell you she has her good and bad days, and today I did not feel like I looked my best or felt radiant inside or outside.”

John Carpenter's The Ward Trailer!
Jan 6, 2011 by B. Alan Orange
Michael and Shawn Rasmussen wrote, and the legendary John Carpenter directs The Ward, Warner Bros. terrifying new thriller about a malevolent ghost terrorizing a young woman trapped in the basement of a mental institution. The full-length trailer for The Ward has finally arrived on-line, and you can check it out in the clip below along with two new poster images:
When an old farmhouse is set ablaze by Kristen (Amber Heard), a distraught young woman, she is taken by police to the North Bend Psychiatric Hospital. She awakens in a special ward with four similarly unbalanced and wayward girls: Sarah (Danielle Panabaker), a flirty and sass-talking know it all; Iris (Lyndsy Fonseca), a sensitive and talented artist who tries to make her feel welcome; Emily (Mamie Gummer), a reckless but playful outcast; and Zoey (Laura-Leigh), who hides behind a childlike persona and her beloved stuffed bunny. Kirsten's therapist, Dr. Stringer (Jared Harris), tries to uncover the root cause of her breakdown, but despite his calm and understanding manner, she resists any attempts at help and rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the hospital is not the sanctuary it seems to be. Kristen begins to have strange run-ins with a shadowy phantom who roams the halls when the ward is locked down at night. Persistent and inquisitive, she goes digging for information about former patients and soon becomes convinced that no one ever leaves the ward alive.

**Jennifer Garner To Play Miss Marple **Photos: New Images, Posters, Title Treatments And More **First Look At Caesar In Rise Of The Apes **Teresa Palmer Joins Warm Bodies

Jennifer Garner To Play Miss Marple
published: 2011-03-28 21:23:07 Author: Mack Rawden
I’m a pretty emotionally level person. There are very few things I’m invested in enough to fundamentally alter my mood, but Agatha Christie novels are one of the few sentiments I cling to. I grew up reading every one of her novels I could get my hands on. I watched all the films, the television shows and even read a biography chronicling that bizarre incident where she briefly disappeared. It’s a subject close to my heart; so, imagine my bewilderment when I read Eric’s article earlier today telling me Disney was making a Miss Marple film in which they were reinterpreting the character as a thirty-something. That’s right, shaving some thirty-five years off my favorite old woman to cater her to a new generation who apparently hates the elderly. Initially, I hoped maybe this was just some ludicrous pipe dream that would never make it to production, but now we have actual casting news. This bullshit is not going away, people.

According to Deadline, Jennifer Garner has officially boarded as this madeover Miss Marple. No offense to her, but what in God’s name is going on this afternoon? Why even make this a Miss Marple story? If you want to introduce a young and sassy female detective, why not make her Miss Marple’s great niece or some wily girl she gave piano lessons to back in the day?

Here’s a few more ideas straight out of this horrid bag of tricks. Let’s do a Jaws where the shark is reinterpreted as a manatee who does tricks. Then when we’re done, let’s do a James Bond set in a local high school in which 0-0-7 is his locker combination! Oh God, I’m cooking with gas now. How about a Home Alone reboot where Kevin can’t find his wife at the Sandals’ pool?

The whole point of Miss Marple is that she’s a nice, disengaging old woman who can easily pry information out of suspects. Giving her sex appeal just meddles with the equation. Let’s hope to God Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost has put more thought into this then it seems. He’s hard at work on the script as we speak, but beyond the basic premise, details are very scarce. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Jennifer-Garner-To-Play-Miss-Marple-23921.html

Cinema Con In Photos: New Images, Posters, Title Treatments And More
published: 2011-03-28 18:20:04 Author: Katey Rich
I've already shown you the major highlight from the exhibit floor at Cinema Con, the first look at Caesar in Rise of the Apes. But there's plenty more to see, as the floor is jammed with posters, standees and other advertising for a ton of upcoming movies. Not all of it is new, but there's always something interesting to look at.

In the gallery below you can check out brand new images from upcoming Fox films like The Sitter, We Bought a Zoo, Now, A Big Year and Monte Carlo, plus new title treatments for The Change-Up and Larry Crowne and other posters I thought were worth seeing. I'll be updating the site as new posters show up throughout the week, so make sure to keep coming back! For all the Cinema Con coverage as it happens, go here.

First Look At Caesar In Rise Of The Apes
I've arrived in Las Vegas for this year's Cinema Con, the annual gathering of movie industry executives and theater owners where the major studios take the chance to show off their goods for the coming year, especially summer movies. There will be a lot to see from the presentations from Paramount, DreamWorks, Disney and Warner Bros., but kicking things off in the goody bag, of all places, was Fox, which handed out a calendar featuring brand-new images from many of its upcoming films.

We'll have all of those images later today, but by far the most interesting is the first look at Caesar from Rise of the Apes, the Planet of the Apes prequel coming to theaters in August. The first official image focused on human star James Franco, but this is the first look at the main ape, played in a motion-capture performance by Andy Serkis. Check out the photo below-- it's not great, we know, but we'll have to hope for an official version released online soon. You can click on it for a much larger version too.

Teresa Palmer Joins Warm Bodies
I Am Number Four's Teresa Palmer is in negotiations to star opposite Nicholas Hoult in Summit's zombie love story Warm Bodies.

Jonathan Levine is directing the project, which follows an existentially tormented zombie named R that begins an unlikely friendship with the human girlfriend (Teresa Palmer) of one of his victims. The blossoming relationship starts a chain reaction that will transform him, his fellow zombies and maybe the whole lifeless world.

Teresa Palmer's character is described as the daughter of one of the humans' military leaders who is tiring of a life of constantly fighting off zombie attacks.

The project is based on a book by Isaac Marion that will be published by Atria Books, a division of Simon and Schuster.

Production on the film is slated to commence this summer.

Warm Bodies comes to theaters in 2012.

**New Trailers for HENRY’S CRIME, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, LARRY CROWNE and THE BEAVER

3 Clips from Jodie Foster’s THE BEAVER Starring Mel Gibson
by Steve 'Frosty' Weintraub Posted: March 16th, 2011
With director Jodie Foster’s The Beaver world premiering at SXSW tonight, Summit Entertainment has released the first three clips. Starring Mel Gibson as a man who starts to treat a beaver hand puppet as a living creature after he begins to suffer from depression, The Beaver has been repeatedly delayed due to Gibson’s controversial behavior. However, if the film plays well at SXSW tonight, perhaps the delay will help Summit at the box office.

While I know Gibson has a lot of issues and some of the things that he’s done and said are crazy, I’ve always been a fan of his work and I’m going to try and keep his professional and private life separate. But I’m probably in the minority. Hit the jump for the clips. The Beaver also stars Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) and Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone).

Universal has released the first trailer for Larry Crowne. Directed by and starring Tom Hanks, the story centers on a laid-off middle-aged man (Hanks) who goes back to college and strikes up a relationship with one of his professors (Julia Roberts). Larry Crowne is the first film Hanks has directed since 1996’s That Thing You Do, and he co-wrote the script with Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding). While the story seems pretty simple, Hanks has proven himself behind the camera and people love the guy. What I’m trying to say is…I’m pretty sure Larry Crowne is going to be a big hit for Universal. New Trailer for FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

A new green band trailer for Friends with Benefits has been released. Directed and co-written by Will Gluck (Easy A), the romantic comedy stars Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Richard Jenkins, and Patricia Clarkson. As you might expect, the film tells the story of two friends (Timberlake and Kunis) who decide to give no-strings-attached-coitus the old college try. The trailer is quite funny and definitely worth checking out. Also, after The Social Network, hosting some great episodes of Saturday Night Live, and looking really funny in this trailer, I think Timberlake should move full time into making movies. At least I hope he does. Friends with Benefits is slated to hit theaters on July 22nd, 2011.

Trailer for HENRY’S CRIME Starring Keanu Reeves
by Matt Goldberg Posted: March 16th, 2011

Moving Pictures has released a trailer for Henry’s Crime, a heist comedy starring Keanu Reeves, Vera Farmiga, and James Caan. While it’s basically the same trailer that leaked online back in January, we never posted it and now it’s in higher quality.

The story centers on a nice guy (Reeves) who goes to jail for a bank robbery he didn’t commit. Now released from prison, he enlists his old cellmate (Caan) to rob the bank for real this time. The film looks cute and it’s nice to see Reeves in an intentional comedy. Hit the jump to check out the trailer and click here for Steve’s interview with Reeves from when the film played back at the Toronto Film Festival. Henry’s Crime opens April 8th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Henry’s Crime:

Working the night shift as a toll collector on a lonely stretch of highway in Buffalo, New York, Henry is a man seemingly without ambition, dreams or purpose; a man sleepwalking his way through life. He gets his wakeup call early one morning when he becomes an unwitting participant in an ill-conceived bank heist. Rather than give up the names of the real culprits, Henry takes the fall and goes to jail. There, he meets the irrepressible Max , a con man who’s grown far too comfortable with the familiarity and security of his ‘idyllic’ life behind bars, but one who also helps plant an idea in Henry’s mind which will change his life forever: for a man to find his purpose, he must first have a dream. Upon his release one year later, Henry finds his purpose. Having done the time, he decides he may as well do the crime. Discovering a long forgotten bootlegger’s tunnel which runs from the very same bank to a theater across the alleyway, he convinces the reluctant Max to file for his long overdue parole — and then recruits his former cellmate to help stage a robbery. Their plan is simple: by infiltrating the theater and its current production of Chekhov’s, The Cherry Orchard, the unlikely duo will buy just enough time to dig their way to the adjacent bank vault and drive off with their loot. Unfortunately that plan also includes Henry taking the lead role in the play, where he finds himself slowly falling for the production’s mercurial leading lady, Julie.
