Olivia Wilde Goes Old School Glam For LA Times Magazine

Olivia Wilde Goes Old School Glam For LA Times Magazine
Posted July 1, 2011 3:01 am by Molly Goodson
Olivia Wilde transformed into a blond bombshell for LA Times Magazine. The actress and activist posed in a series of sexy sequins gowns for the shoot, though the accompanying interview focuses largely on Olivia's work in Haiti. These days it seems like Olivia's name is in the news being linked to every single man in Hollywood, with the most recent being Ryan Reynolds, but she also has two movies coming out this Summer. Olivia Wildecostars with Ryan Reynolds in The Change-Up and she'll also appear in Cowboys and Aliens, and her director in that film, John Favreau, gushed about her for the article. Here are highlights from Olivia's interview, which is out in full this weekend:
- On balancing work in Haiti and acting: "I was crouched outside this cholera clinic, sitting on a cinder block with my phone [about] to help hand out rice at a refugee camp and figure out how our students can build more classrooms. It was hard for me to be on the ball during that call, but I had to remember that acting is actually my job. Whenever I want to say, 'F--k Hollywood,' I have to remember that the reason I am even useful in Haiti is because I have a job here."
- On helping with a documentary about Haiti: "I don’t throw my weight around, because I don’t think I have the weight to throw around yet. . . . I meekly and politely ask if I can throw in my two cents, and I have been so lucky that they’ve brought me into the writing process. I’m always wandering around on set going, 'Where are the writers?'"
- Jon Favreau on Olivia: "Someone who’s that attractive and talented and smart? Sky’s the limit for her, because that just doesn’t come around that often." http://www.popsugar.com/Olivia-Wilde-LA-Times-Magazine-Pictures-18095200

Chris Klein Talks AMERICAN REUNION
by Adam Chitwood Posted: July 1st, 2011
Writer-directors Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) have managed to bring every major cast member back for the fourth entry in the American Pie franchise, American Reunion. The film is currently shooting, and actor Chris Klein recently spoke a bit about what to expect from the film and where his character Oz is now:“[Oz] has moved to a beach house in Malibu. He’s found his way to Hollywood, where he works as a sportscaster on an NFL show. And he has a young girlfriend, Mia, played by Katrina Bowden (30 Rock), who is really, really funny. He gets his invite to the reunion and decides to go with his girlfriend.”Hit the jump to see what else he had to say about the sequel. Adrianne Palicki to Play Lady Jaye in G.I. JOE: COBRA STRIKES
by Matt Goldberg Posted: July 1st, 2011
Adrianne Palicki will play the female lead in Jon Chu’s G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. According to Deadline, Palicki will play Lady Jaye (pictured above in what I seriously doubt is an approved military uniform). The cast for the film continues to fill out as Paramount positions the sequel to be one of their summer 2012 tentpoles. Palicki joins returning cast members Channing Tatum (who plays Duke), Ray Park (Snake Eyes), and Byung-hun Lee (Storm Shadow) along with new recruits Dwayne Johnson (Roadblock), RZA (Blind Master), D.J. Cotrona (Flint), and Elodie Yung (Jinx). One of the major roles yet to be cast is original G.I. Joe, Joe Colton. Deadline reports that Bruce Willis is the top choice for the role and he would certainly add some star power to the flick.Hit the jump for a brief bio on Lady Jaye. G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes opens August 10, 2012. http://collider.com/gi-joe2-adrianne-palicki-lady-jaye/99998/
Ben Foster Joins PROMETHEUS? Official Synopsis Revealed
by Matt Goldberg Posted: July 1st, 2011
Ridley Scott’s Alien-prequel-but-not-an-Alien-prequel Prometheus already has a stellar cast. The sci-fi flick features Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, and Guy Pearce, and now JoBlo is reporting that Ben Foster has signed on. Almost everything about the film is being kept under wraps so we don’t know what role he’ll play, but Foster is a fantastic addition to any cast. We’re still awaiting official confirmation from Fox on Foster’s casting, but the studio has dismissed yesterday’s rumored synopsis. Instead, they’ve provided an official synopsis which deserves some kind of award for vagueness. Here’s what the synopsis tells you definitively: the movie takes place in outer space (and we already knew that). Hit the jump to read the synopsis and learn nothing. Prometheus opens in 3D on June 8, 2012. http://collider.com/prometheus-ben-foster-synopsis/99966/
"Alien" Prequel Plot Synopsis Revealed?
Posted: July 1st, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel, called "Prometheus," is a top secret project for the director and 20th Century Fox. While bits of information have leaked out through interviews, we have yet to piece together the plot of the film.
Now, AlienPrequelNews has got their hands on a possible and every detailed plot synopsis for "Prometheus." And while we don't know if this plot is accurate, it seems to fit perfectly with everything that we've previously heard. Read at your own risk.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
Earth. Year 2058.
Archaeological digs in Africa reveal alien artifacts that humans were genetically engineered by a advanced alien race (space jockeys). These "Alien Gods" also terraformed Earth in order to make it habitable for their human creations. Amongst finds are coordinates to the Alien God’s home-world, to Paradise. Months later the Weyland Corp launch the spaceship PROMETHEUS and his crew, into deep space to make first contact. Thanks to faster than light travel a few years later the PROMETHEUS enters the Zeta Riticuli star system. Humans are greeted by their makers, then transported further into space to a scary yet fascinating world. The Alien Gods are proud of their "children," their first creation to reach such levels of intelligence.
As a reward they share bits of their astonishing bio-based technologies with the humans. But for one crew member of the Prometheus it's not enough. In a treacherous act he steals the "bio-source code" to Terraforming, a technology at the origin of all Gods' power, that could make humans equal to the gods. The Alien Gods may be scientists but are also ruthless conquerors, destroyers of worlds who will not accept humans as equals. They unleash on the escaping human crew their favorite bio-weapon, a creature used to "clean up" worlds before colonization. But something goes wrong in the process and humans manage to turn the bio-weapon against their makers. Giving birth to a smarter, nastier, bigger breed of gut eating creatures. Creatures that will be the demise of Paradise. What's left of the Prometheus crew manages to escape the doomed planet.
On their trail a survivor Alien God in very familiar ship with one ultimate mission. Bring the wrath of the Gods to Earth.

First Look: Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway in "The Dark Knight Rises" Set Video
Posted: July 1st, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com StaffChristopher Nolan is currently shooting "The Dark Knight Rises," the third film in the franchise. And while he tries really hard to keep as much of the story secret as possible, there are always people who are able to take a photo or a video of the filming.
Today we have a video of a rainy scene in which Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) knocks on the door of a house, but get no answer. At that point, Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) walks up and they leave together. Check out the video below.
The hand-holding may indicate that that there is a romantic part to their relationship. And it's likely that they'll also team up as Batman and Catwoman, clearing up why Michael Caine previously said that Batman and another character will leave the mansion to fight crime.
