Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds On Set Interview THE CHANGE-UP

This year, we’re getting two Jason Bateman movies and two Ryan Reynolds movies, and that is reason to celebrate.  Both actors have superb comic timing, and can carry a movie on their own.  The thought of them playing off each other is exciting, but their chemistry in The Change-Up becomes even more of a thrill when you realize that they’ll be playing against type.  While the beginning of the movie might have shades of Michael Bluth and Van Wilder sharing the screen (as if anyone would hate that), their characters Dave and Mitch switch bodies after peeing in a fountain and suddenly Bateman gets to go broad and Reynolds does more of a sardonic tone.  This may throw some audiences for a loop but fans of Reynolds and Bateman already know that both actors can excel at these kind of roles and the real hook is watching them share the screen.
On my visit to the set of The Change-Up, I spoke with the actors about filming in Atlanta, how they’re playing their roles, alternate takes, the hilarity of child endangerment, and much more.  Read this interview and you’ll instantly get a sense of how well Bateman and Reynolds play off each other.  The Change-Up opens August 5th. http://collider.com/jason-bateman-ryan-reynolds-interview-the-change-up/93542/

Collider Goes to the Set of THE CHANGE-UP

Several years ago, Georgia passed legislation promoting generous tax incentives to studios and producers, and as a result the filmmaking industry in the state has been booming.  Films shot here include Zombieland, The Crazies, Fast Five, Hall Pass, and the upcoming R-rated comedy The Change-Up.  This past January, I traveled to Powder Springs, GA with some fellow movie bloggers to visit the set of the film.  While director David Dobkin made a slight detour in 2007 with the family film Fred Claus, what I saw on the set convinced me that The Change-Up is going to be the worthy successor to Dobkin’s smash 2005 comedy Wedding Crashers.  The movie is an R-rated take on the classic body-switching premise that was best used in Freaky Friday. The interplay between stars Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds looked terrific, we saw some great jokes that had us struggling to suppress laughter so we could be quiet on the set, and as someone who has spent most of his life in Atlanta, I was pleased to learn that my hometown will actually be in the film as Atlanta.
Hit the jump for to read about my visit to the set of the film (and don’t worry—I’m not going to spoil any of the jokes).  The Change-Up opens August 5th. http://collider.com/the-change-up-set-visit/93028/

Hugo Weaving To Play Six Different Characters In The Wachowskis' Cloud Atlas

published: 2011-05-31 13:34:09 Author: Sean O'Connell
Hugo Weaving’s IMDB page boasts such mouthwateringly villainous roles as Agent Smith, Megatron and the Red Skull. But according to the actor, he’s about to add six new characters to his resume, though they’re all part of one film.

The movie, in question, is Cloud Atlas, an adaptation of David Mitchell’s sci-fi novel that tells six-separate-yet-somehow-interlocked stories that stretch through opposing times and spaces. Weaving joins Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon and Jim Broadbent for a production that’s being co-directed by his Matrix collaborators Lana and Andy Wachowski, as well as the visually creative Tom Tykwer (Run, Lola, Run).

"That's a project that's really exciting because all the actors will be playing more than one role," Weaving told the Herald Sun while promoting the film Oranges and Sunshine in Australia. "I actually have six characters in the same film and they are all different people in six different stories."

Seeing as how Atlas tells a science-fiction story, accepting such a narrative schism shouldn’t require a leap of faith. And the fact that the Atlas team is going with gifted character actors like Weaving, Hanks, Sarandon and Broadbent gives me hope that all six stories will hold out interest. The film currently has a May 4, 2012 release date, so we’ll bring you more information on this intriguing film as it develops.

Set Visit Report: Ryan Reynolds And Jason Bateman Get Raunchy In The Change-Up

published: 2011-05-31 10:41:31 Author: Katey Rich
If you find yourself seeing The Change-Up this summer and envying the house occupied by Jason Bateman and Leslie Mann's characters- the big kitchen counters, the lushly carpeted bedroom, the giant cushy couch-- keep in mind that the neighborhood isn't so great. Not only is there a burly grip or sound guy standing just outside pretty much every wall, but there's a dusty prop storage area right next door, and even though we're in Georgia, it's still January, and it's still freezing in there.

Because the house, of course, is just one of the many enormous sets that Universal has built at an old warehouse just west of Atlanta, where The Change-Up had been shooting for nearly three months when I visited the set in early January. The film is actually set in Atlanta, unlike a lot of productions that shoot there, and the production had already visited local landmarks like Turner Field and Piedmont Park-- a good time for them to wrap outdoor shooting, since a giant ice storm set in on the city the day we left the set. And even though this January day would be one of the last the crew spent in Atlanta, stars Jason Bateman, Ryan Reynolds and Leslie Mann were at work on a scene that comes early in the film, in which Reynolds's slacker friend character visits their lovely home and provides some, well, slightly inappropriate advice to their five-year-old daughter.

Just what that advice was varied from take to take. We watched director David Dobkin take Reynolds through dozens of different versions of the short scene, in which the little girl asks "Uncle Mitch" to attend her dance recital and he responds with everything from "Only if it's exotic dance" to "Absolutely not. Now go upstairs and do something with your hair." The young actress was a champ, hitting her cue each time, allowing Reynolds to toss her ludicrously (but safely) high in the air, and even faceplanting perfectly on cue every time he pushed her up the stairs at the end of the scene. Mitch, as you can probably tell, isn't really the most responsible uncle, and like a lot of things in movies by Wedding Crashers director Dobkin, it's a scene that wouldn't be funny in real life but hopefully will wind up hilarious onscreen.
"If you’re doing anything that you hope is worth doing, hopefully you’re making somebody uncomfortable, right?" Dobkin said later when the six of us visitors sat down with him at the big kitchen table on set. And the unexpected discomfort in The Change-Up actually starts with the premise, which takes the classic PG-rated notion of the body-switching comedy-- think Freaky Friday-- and transplants it to the foul-mouthed world of Dobkin and screenwriters Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, who also wrote a little R-rated comedy called The Hangover. Where characters in other body-switching comedies get switched by a magical wizard or toy, Dave (Bateman) and Mitch (Reynolds) switch after a night of drinking that ends with them peeing in a magic fountain. And The Change-Up is like other comedies in the genre, seeing its characters caught in wacky situations, it's probably got more sex and poop jokes than all the others combined.

All of it was on display in the scene we saw them shoot, despite the fact that two twin infants were on hand in their high chairs as Mitch joins Dave and his wife in the kitchen while the boys prepare for their night out. Mitch and Dave are longtime friends who have grown apart in recent years, as Dave spends time with his wife and three young kids while Mitch continues living a raucous bachelor lifestyle. In this scene we see Mitch arrive at the house, flirt shamelessly with Dave's wife (Leslie Mann) right in front of him, and usher Dave off to a night at a Braves baseball game-- a night that ends with them getting drunk, admitting they're each jealous of the other's life, and peeing in that magic fountain. The next morning they wake up in each others' bodies, and all kinds of hell breaks loose from there. In fact, why don't you check out the red-band trailer below as a reminder of just what's in store.
The director, writers and the cast were all wary of letting loose any jokes or gags beyond what you're seeing in the trailer, and understandably so-- comedies, especially raunchy comedies like The Change-Up, always rely on taking you by surprise. So when we talked to Dobkin, Lucas, and then Bateman and Reynolds together in breaks between scenes, we mostly focused on the bigger picture-- what it's like to make an R-rated comedy in this post-Hangover era, how to keep pushing the envelope without making it totally absurd, how to adapt the squeaky-clean PG kind of body-switching story into this raunchy comedy style, and of course, the eternal hilarity of hitting kids.

Tomorrow we'll have our conversation on the set with Bateman and Reynolds, including details about their years-long friendship that led them to team up in the film and what we learned about their characters by snooping around the sets that act as their bedrooms. Today, though, check out what Dobkin and Lucas had to say about deciding to team up on the film, where they see the future of R-rated comedy, and as Lucas puts it, why "if you learn anything in this movie, we’ve failed." The Change-Up hits theaters on August 5.

Angelina Jolie Says She Doesn't Want To Portray Cleopatra As A Sex Symbol

published: 2011-05-31 00:39:29 Author: Eric Eisenberg
While I can't see myself ever advocating a remake of Cleopatra, if there's a modern actress better suited for the part than Angelina Jolie I will eat my shoe. A true beauty in every sense of the word, it makes sense that the project has become a passion for the actress since being attached last year. Now Jolie has started openly talking about what direction she'd like to see the project go in, and what's strange is that her ideas would seemingly make her an unwise choice for the part.

Sitting down with The Telegraph, Jolie began to discuss researched elements about the real Cleopatra that she wants to be part of the film, calling the Egyptian queen "very misunderstood." For starters, the actress wants to cut out the elements dealing with her as a glamorous beauty and instead wants to focus on the stronger parts of her personality, mentioning that she was, "a very strong mother, she spoke five languages and she was a leader." Unable to get Elizabeth Taylor's blessing for the film before she died, Jolie even admits that her performance won't be "as lovely as Elizabeth’s" and won't explore the character as a sex symbol. Completely upending everything we think we know about the Cleopatra, Jolie then put out this interesting tidbit:

"Even this idea of her having many lovers – it was possible that it was only two. She is very interesting, but she wasn’t a great beauty."
So here's my question: if Cleopatra wasn't actually a great beauty, why exactly should the part belong to Jolie? Shouldn't it go to somebody that hasn't repeatedly been named as one of the sexiest women in the world by multiple magazines and news outlets? I don't think I'd be alone in laughing if Jolie's script suggestions ended up with her losing the job. That would be pure, unadulterated irony. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Angelina-Jolie-Says-She-Doesn-t-Want-To-Portray-Cleopatra-As-A-Sex-Symbol-24974.html

Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg Divorce in CELESTE AND JESSE FOREVER; Lee Toland Krieger Will Direct
by Brendan Bettinger Posted: March 22nd, 2011
Andy Samberg (Saturday Night Live) has signed on to star opposite Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation) in Celeste and Jesse Forever. The romantic dramedy centers on a couple that wants to remain friends following their impending divorce. Jones co-wrote the script with long-time actor, first-time writer Will McCormack. Lee Toland Krieger (The Vicious Kind) will direct.

Zack Snyder Confirms That Viggo Mortensen Will Not Play Zod In Superman
published: 2011-03-22 17:42:46 Author: Katey Rich
Poor Zack Snyder is out there right now just trying to promote his new film Sucker Punch, but inevitably any time he sits down with a journalist the conversation turns to Superman. Snyder has done a good job keeping mum about details for his upcoming reboot of the superhero story, but he did manage to at least do some damage control on a rumor that was already out there. Talking to Latino Review, Snyder confirmed that Viggo Mortensen will not be appearing in the film as General Zod, contrary to a rumor that surfaced in late February.

Even at the time the story was that Mortensen would likely have to turn down the role thanks to his commitment to Snow White and the Huntsman at Universal; while Snyder made no mention of that, he told LR "Viggo is not going to be in the movie let’s say that right now." Even if it's just to refute a rumor that didn't seem all that likely to begin with-- we're not even sure that Zod is in the movie, much less who will play him-- it's nice to see Snyder actually able to say anything about the film. Once Sucker Punch opens on Friday he'll be able to carry on in post-production in peace, and despite all of our best efforts to catch him at a junket, that's probably when the real Superman news will start coming out.

Sony May Want David Fincher To Direct Angelina Jolie As Cleopatra
published: 2011-03-22 10:24:35 Author: Katey Rich
The Angelina Jolie-starring Cleopatra movie that recently had James Cameron and Paul Greengrass interested has set its sights on another high-caliber director. According to Deadline Sony is currently hoping that David Fincher will tackle the project, possibly at some point between finishing The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and its sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire, which he's also expected to direct.

There's a lot up in the air about the movie right now-- Cameron wanted it in 3D, and it's unclear if they'll keep it that way, plus there are possible rewrites coming for the script originally written by Brian Helgeland. Jolie, who has been attached to the project from the beginning and would be the key element for its box office success, likely has final say in which director gets picked; given that Brad Pitt worked with Fincher three times before it's likely she'd be convinced as well, but still, that's one more thing to be worked out. And finally Fincher is a busy guy-- if Dragon Tattoo is a hit, they'll want him to move forward on Played With Fire immediately, which could make his work on this impossible.

Despite the fact that he's David Fincher and seemingly capable of anything, and that Jolie is as perfect an actress to play Cleopatra as there's ever been, I can't quite figure out what this project would be like. Fincher's only previous period film was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, by far his least interesting work, and I somehow can't picture him photographing all the Egyptian pyramids and casts of thousands. Then again, if you want a Cleopatra that's as different as possible from the 1963 epic flop, Fincher might be precisely the guy to turn to.

First Look At Roman Polanski's Carnage And Its All-Star Cast
published: 2011-03-22 10:05:56 Author: Katey Ric
It's hard to even know what to say about Carnage, a film directed by Roman Polanski, based on a Tony Award-winning play and starring Christoph Waltz, Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly and Jodie Foster. All I really need to know is how soon I can see it, and start predicting exactly how many Oscar nominations is might earn. If you want to ramp up your excitement even further, though, Empire Online has the first look at three images from the film-- two behind-the-scenes, and one that looks like a still from the action.

The images aren't exactly like getting your first look at a superhero costume or Hogwarts on fire or anything, but simply seeing all four of these actors is kind of thrilling, no? Carnage, based on the play God of Carnage, is about two sets of parents meeting to discuss a schoolyard dispute between their sons; in the tradition of plays like Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? the evening goes downhill from there; as the New York Times review of the 2009 Broadway production put it, it "[takes] three or four smug, upper-middle-class characters and stripping them, with algebraic precision, to their lonely, frightened ids." What better actors to handle it, and what better director to guide them? Given that the film is currently in post-production, I'd make a strong bet on an Oscar-season spot for this movie later in the year.

Check out the three images below, and click them to see the full-size versions at Empire.

Liv Tyler Won't Be In The Hobbit
published: 2011-03-22 01:13:23 Author: Josh Tyler
One of the challenges of turning The Hobbit into a movie is that most of the characters from Lord of the Rings weren’t born, around the time this story takes place. That’s not a problem from a storytelling standpoint, but it probably is from the studio’s standpoint, since execs are always keen to bring in audiences by promising to show them more of the people they’ve already come to know and love.

One way or another they’re finding ways to bring in members from the Lord of the Rings cast into The Hobbit, and many of them have already been confirmed as participants. But one character, perhaps one of the few characters who’s actually alive during the time period involved and in a position to take part in the events of The Hobbit, won’t be back. Liv Tyler says nobody’s said anything to her about showing up in New Zealand to reprise her role as Arwen, and that makes her “kind of sad”.

While technically Arwen isn't in The Hobbit book, many characters which aren't in the book will show up in one of the two Hobbit movies, particularly in the second one which will use material outside of The Hobbit. Yet talking to Collider about The Hobbit the former Ringwraith-defeating Arwen says not only hasn’t she heard from anyone about it, she didn’t even know that filming had begun on the movie yesterday. Watch their full interview with her below, in which she also talks about Strangers 2, but mostly she talks about The Hobbit and seems sincerely bummed out that Arwen won’t be involved. Aren’t we all?

David Fincher May Direct CLEOPATRA Starring Angelina Jolie
by Matt Goldberg Posted: March 22nd, 2011
Producer Scott Rudin’s Cleopatra biopic is continuing its search for a top-tier director. Last October, James Cameron was in talks for the gig, but he decided to direct Avatar sequels instead. Then Paul Greengrass started circling the project, but chose to helm Memphis, which is about the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Now Deadline is reporting that Rudin wants to re-team with David Fincher on the project which is set to star Angelina Jolie as the Egyptian queen.

Hit the jump for more on the project and the likelihood that Fincher will sign on to direct.

First Look at Roman Polanski’s CARNAGE Starring Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly, and Christoph Waltz
by Matt Goldberg Posted: March 22nd, 2011
The first image from Roman Polanski’s new film Carnage (based off the play God of Carnage) has gone online. The film stars Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly, Kate Winslet, and Christopher Waltz as two sets of parents who come together to talk about a schoolyard fight between their kids. If that cast combined with this director doesn’t make you want to see this movie, you’re nuts. And while Polanski is known for the deadly seriousness of his movies, Foster says the movie has some humor:

“It all happens in real-time, so it’s about an hour and 45 minutes of negotiation between two sets of parents and how it all falls apart,” she said. “Kind of like Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, but a little funnier. There’s a lot of wit.”

So I guess it will be like Revolutionary Road but intentionally funny. Hit the jump to check out the first image from the film as well as a photo of Polanski on the set. Carnage is currently in post-production and may hit theaters before the end of the year.

Alexander Payne’s THE DESCENDANTS Set for December 16th; ONE FOR THE MONEY Falls to January 27, 2012
by Matt Goldberg Posted: March 22nd, 2011
For those who like to plan in far in advance, we have some release date news for you this morning. First up, Fox Searchlight has set Alexander Payne’s The Descendants for December 16th. The film stars George Clooney as a wealthy landowner who tries to re-connect with his daughters. While the release date puts it in prime position for awards season, it will have to contend with three blockbusters getting released the same day: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Presumably, Searchlight is going to start out with a limited release and then expand the film since releasing it wide as counter-programming would be incredibly risky. I’m also going to assume that The Descendants will make the rounds at various fall film festivals because if you make a modestly-budgeted film starring George Clooney, federal law requires that you show it at Toronto and/or Telluride.

Hit the jump for news on the release date for One for the Money starring Katherine Heigl.

Paul Greengrass Rumored for CLEOPATRA with Angelina Jolie

by Brendan Bettinger    Posted: January 4th, 2011

James Cameron briefly flirted with the idea of directing Cleopatra, a 3D epic with Angelina linked to the title role.  That hypothetical sounds like the biggest production ever, but it was not meant to be.  Later in the month, it was announced Cameron will be tied up for the forseeable future by two Avatar sequels.
That leaves a high profile directing gig open for the rest of Hollywood’s elite.  Producer Scott Rudin (True Grit) revealed that he and Sony Pictures are “pretty close” to landing a director.  He didn’t specify, but sources suggest that Paul Greengrass (Green Zone) is under consideration.  More after the jump:
It sounds like we’re due for an announcement soon, but I don’t recommend you bet on Greengrass.  Deadline even notes that those who are talking about Greengrass have not mentioned his name to Jolie.  Although, the director would have the schedule for it.  Over the past year, Greengrass decided not to direct The Bourne Legacy or the Cameron-produced Fantastic Voyage.  He was linked to a Treasure Island adaptation, though it’s not clear if that has progressed since May.
Of course, with a project of this scope, the studio must have a shortlist of contenders.  Rudin believes their fresh take on the material has been a big draw:
“It is a completely revisionist Cleopatra, a much more grown-up sophisticated version. She’s not a sex kitten; she’s a politician, strategist, warrior. In the Joseph Mankiewicz movie [1963's Cleopatra], Elizabeth Taylor is a seductress, but the histories of Cleopatra have been written by men. This is the first to be written by a woman. It felt like such a blow-the-doors-off-the-hinges idea of how to tell it, impossible to resist. We’re pretty close. A lot of directors want to do it, but there is only a handful we’ll make it with.”
Brian Helgeland (Robin Hood) based his script on Cleopatra: A Life, a biography by Stacy Schiff.  Here’s the synopsis:
Her palace shimmered with onyx and gold, but was richer still in political and sexual intrigue. Above all else, Cleopatra was a shrewd strategist and an ingenious negotiator. Though her life spanned fewer than forty years, it reshaped the contours of the ancient world.
She was married twice, each time to a brother. She waged a brutal civil war against the first when both were teenagers. She poisoned the second. Ultimately she dispensed with an ambitious sister as well; incest and assassination were family specialties. Cleopatra appears to have had sex with only two men. They happen, however, to have been Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, two of the most prominent Romans of the day. Both were married to other women. Cleopatra had a son with Caesar and–after his murder–three more with his protégé. Already she was the wealthiest ruler in the Mediterranean; the relationship with Antony confirmed her status as the most influential woman of the age. The two would together attempt to forge a new empire, in an alliance that spelled their ends. Cleopatra has lodged herself in our imaginations ever since. [Amazon]

George Clooney Attached to Star in THE MONSTER OF FLORENCE Adaptation

by Brendan Bettinger    Posted: January 4th, 2011

George Clooney is attached to star in Fox 2000’s adaptation of The Monster of Florence, the best-selling book by Douglas Preston and Mario Spezi.  Following a move to Italy, Preston his new home was near the site of two of the murders by the serial killer known as “The Monster of Florence.”  Preston joined forces with Spezi to learn more about the decades-old case, but their investigation was unwelcomed by the local police — the force tapped Preston’s phone and threw Spezi in jail.  Against the odds, Preston and Spezi eventually solved the crime.
Clooney will play Preston, and produce alongside Grant Heslov, Dan Jinks, and Bruce Cohen.  Christopher McQuarrie is writing the screenplay with his Valkyrie co-writer Nathan Alexander.  Hit the jump for a brief history on the path of The Monster of Florence from page to screen, plus a synopsis.
According to THR, Tom Cruise acquired the film rights as producer and potential star shortly after the book was published in 2008.  He brought McQuarrie on board as writer and producer at United Artists.  The project stalled and eventually went into turnaround at United Artists, so McQuarrie, Jinks, and Cohen brought Florence to Clooney and Heslov for their Smoke House Productions banner.  Deadline reports this package was pitched to Fox 2000 just before the holidays, who was eager enough to get the ink on the dotted line before Christmas.
I’m feeling shades of All the President’s Men, so I’m very curious to see who they get to play Spezi.  Will they go for a native Italian?  Collider readers from Italy: any suggestions?
Here’s the synopsis for The Monster of Florence:
In 2000, Douglas Preston fulfilled a dream to move his family to Italy. Then he discovered that the olive grove in front of their 14th century farmhouse had been the scene of the most infamous double-murders in Italian history, committed by a serial killer known as the Monster of Florence. Preston, intrigued, meets Italian investigative journalist Mario Spezi to learn more. This is the true story of their search for–and identification of–the man they believe committed the crimes, and their chilling interview with him. And then, in a strange twist of fate, Preston and Spezi themselves become targets of the police investigation. Preston has his phone tapped, is interrogated, and told to leave the country. Spezi fares worse: he is thrown into Italy’s grim Capanne prison, accused of being the Monster of Florence himself. Like one of Preston’s thrillers, The Monster Of Florence, tells a remarkable and harrowing story involving murder, mutilation, and suicide-and at the center of it, Preston and Spezi, caught in a bizarre prosecutorial vendetta. McG Will Direct OUIJA

by Jason Barr    Posted: January 4th, 2011

A few weeks ago, we reported that McG (Terminator Salvation) and Breck Eisner (The Crazies) would duke it out for the Ouija director’s chair.  Tonight we can confirm that McG has emerged victorious and will helm Universal’s adaptation of the Hasbro board game.  Per Heat Vision, the studio is now in negotiations with the director who will helm a script by Tron: Legacy scribes Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.
While Universal and Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes are keeping plot details for Ouija close to the vest, it is believed that the film will be akin to adventure films such as The Mummy and Indiana Jones.  Maybe it’s just me, but this vague description keeps making me think that Ouija will come out looking a lot like a sequel to 1995’s Jumanji (a film that nine-year old me was none too fond of).  Again, it’s probably just me.  As for McG, his next directorial effort is the romantic comedy This Means War starring Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and Tom Hardy.  Ouija currently has a release date of November 9, 2012.

Gareth Edwards to Direct GODZILLA

by Jason Barr    Posted: January 4th, 2011

Gareth Edwards will direct the latest iteration of Godzilla for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.  According to Heat Vision, Edwards will work with a yet-to-be-named writer (Dave Callaham of The Expendables was originally tapped to pen the script) in developing Godzilla (a property that Legendary gathered the rights to back in March 2010).
The British filmmaker, known for his knack for creating stellar digital effects at rock-bottom prices, has gained a lot of steam of late with the release of his sci-fi film Monsters which premiered at SXSW in 2010 before picking up distribution from Magnet Releasing in October.  In addition to landing Godzilla, Edwards was also recently tapped to work alongside Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov in writing/directing a “futuristic sci-fi project.“  If you’re looking for more from Edwards, you can click here to check out an exclusive interview we conducted with the fast-rising filmmaker back in October.
