Plot: The story revolves around Charlie Kenton (Jackman), a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.
"Real Steel" is directed by Shawn Levy (Date Night) and is scheduled to hit theaters October 7th.

Aaron Eckhart to Hunt Villainous Peter Pan in New Movie
Posted: May 10th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
There are a lot of "Peter Pan" projects in the works, including a prequel that has Channing Tatum attached. Today, ScreenDaily has learned that Warner Bros is developing its own version of the story, which will be much darker than previously seen.
Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) has signed on to play Captain Hook, who has been re-imagined as a tormented former detective on the trail of a childlike kidnapper (Peter Pan). AnnaSophia Robb (Soul Surfer) will portray Wendy, the lone survivor who leaves an asylum to help in the hunt. And Sean Bean ("Game of Thrones") has been cast as Smee, the chief detective and Hook's only ally on the force.
Guillermo Del Toro was once attached to direct the film, but has since been replaced by Ben Hibon, who worked in the animation department on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1." Filming is scheduled to begin in October in Eastern Europe.

Hugo Weaving Confirmed for "The Hobbit"
Posted: May 10th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com StaffBack on May 1st, director Peter Jackson posted a photo of him and Hugo Weaving on the set of "The Hobbit." Many assumed that Weaving will be reprising the role of Elrond, but Jackson said that the actor simply stopped by for a visit.
Now, Ian McKellen has updated his official blog with news that Weaving is officially on board.
He wrote: "Martin Freeman has left 'The Hobbit.' This is not another April Fool, just a May Fact. Before signing as Bilbo, Martin had agreed to make three 90-minute TV films in London, again playing Dr Watson to Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes.
No worries: he'll be back in Middle Earth after our first hiatus, during which Peter Jackson will have spare time to edit the scenes already completed. The rest of the cast remains on duty for another few weeks, working on hobbit-less sections of the film. These involve dwarves of course but also elves, with Hugo Weaving back for a stretch as Lord Elrond."

"Men in Black" Director to Helm "Dinosaurs Versus Aliens"
Posted: May 10th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com StaffBarry Sonnenfeld, who is currently filming the third "Men in Black" film, has come up with a new alien story, which he is calling "Dominion: Dinosaurs Versus Aliens."
The director has teamed with comic book writer Grant Morrison to develop a graphic novel and a movie. Morrison, whose comic book work includes "Batman" and "The Invisibles," will write both the graphic novel and the script. Sonnenfeld will direct the film. Check out the first concept art below.
The story chronicles a secret prehistoric world war battle. When an alien invasion attacks Earth in the age of the dinosaurs, the planet's only hope is the giants that roam the planet with, it turns out, a lot more intelligence than previously realized.
"Growing up, my fascination was all things dinosaur, and as an adult, I've had some success making films about aliens, so this is a dream come true," said Sonnenfeld. "We've been trying to do a project ever since."
