There’s also a set photo that shows Bekmambetov directing star Benjamin Walker as Abraham Lincoln sans beard and sans vampire hunting.Hit the jump to check out both images. The film also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk, Jimmi Simpson, and Refus Sewell. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens in 3D on June 22, 2012.
New GREEN LANTERN Poster Featuring Hector Hammond
by Adam Chitwood Posted: May 11th, 2011 at 12:14 pm
A new Green Lantern poster has been released, this time focusing on villain Hector Hammond, played by Peter Sarsgaard. It’s a pretty spot-on poster, with Hammond making the obligatory “evil plan” face. It also serves as a reminder of just how grotesque Hammond becomes later on in the film, as witnessed in the trailer. I’ve been impressed by the footage we’ve seen so far, and I’m really hoping the finished product delivers.Hit the jump to check out the poster. Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Peter Sarsgaard. The film opens in 3D on June 17th.
Eric Stonestreet and Wentworth Miller Join Indie Thriller LOFT
by Matt Goldberg Posted: May 11th, 2011 at 12:45 pm
Eric Stonestreet is a scene stealer on ABC’s Modern Family but he’s about to made a radical departure as he’s in final negotiations to star in the dark indie thriller Loft. Variety reports that Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) is also set to join the film, “which follows five married friends who share a loft where each of them bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they begin to suspect one another of murder.” As we reported back in February, the film also stars Patrick Wilson and James Marsden. This cast and premise offers the possibility for a tight, claustrophobic thriller…or it could end up like 2006’s disappointing Unknown (as opposed to 2011’s disappointing Unknown). Screenwriter Wesley Strick (the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street) adapted Bart De Pauw’s original screenplay for the 2008 Belgian film of the same name. Erik Van Looy directed that film and will return to helm the remake. While I’ll be interested in seeing Stonestreet in such a different role from Modern Family’s Cam, he’ll next be seen in the R-rated comedy Bad Teacher and the family film The Muppets. As for Miller, he’s signed on to the indie drama Analog. He also wrote the script Stoker, which will be directed by Chan-wook Park (Oldboy).Trailer and Poster for HORRIBLE BOSSES Starring Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis
by Matt Goldberg Posted: May 11th, 2011 at 12:55 pm
The trailer for Horrible Bosses has gone online. Directed by Seth Gordon (Four Christmases) the movie centers on three hapless employees (played by Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis) who conspire to kill each other’s horrible bosses (played by Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, and Jennifer Aniston). While I’m eager to see what a red-band trailer might hold, there are plenty of good jokes in this green-band trailer. As usual, Bateman is terrific (his dry delivery at the end of the trailer is golden), but there doesn’t seem to be a weak link in the cast.Hit the jump to check out the trailer as well as the teaser poster. The film also stars Jamie Foxx, Donald Sutherland, and Julie Bowen. Horrible Bosses opens July 8th.First Look at Jeremy Piven in SPY KIDS 4: ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD
