Sarah recently told EW her favorite part about the show is the surprises.

CW Releases Extended Trailer for RINGER Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar

If you didn’t know by now, Sarah Michelle Gellar is making her return to TV on The CW’s new series Ringer. We reported the series pick-up last week along with some clips from the series itself, but now The CW has released an extended trailer that gives us a much better idea of what this show is all about. The series features Gellar as a woman, who after witnessing a murder, goes on the run, hiding out by assuming the life of her wealthy identical twin sister only to learn that her sister’s seemingly idyllic life is just as complicated and dangerous as the one she’s trying to leave behind. I’m not entirely convinced this is a must-watch series yet, but plenty of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans will surely want to see Gellar’s return to the network. As for me, The CW has never really delivered the kind of programming I’m usually fond of, but I might give this a try. You can decide for yourself after watching the trailer after the jump. http://collider.com/ringer-extended-trailer-sarah-michelle-gellar/93054/

New Set Photos from MEN IN BLACK III

by Matt Goldberg    Posted: May 26th, 2011 at 10:04 am

New set photos from Men in Black III have leaked online.  This hasn’t exactly been the most secretive of sets as this is just the latest in series of set photos from the film.  But what do they have to hide?  You know a Men in Black has the main characters in sharp suits, there are weird gadgets, and there are some aliens.  Since I imagine that most of the aliens will be CG, so we’re not going to see those, and then there are the jokes.  We know that the premise has Agent J (Will Smith) going back in time to save a young Agent K (Josh Brolin) and avert a world-ending disaster, but because they started filming without even having a finished script and had to delay the project so they could figure out how to finish the story, it’s tough to have hope for this project.
Hit the jump to check out the set photos (although a few contain what could be considered minor spoilers).  The film also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Jemaine Clement, Alice Eve, Emma Thompson, Nicole Scherzinger, Rip Torn, and Johnny Knoxville.  Men in Black III opens in 3D on May 25, 2012. http://collider.com/men-in-black-3-set-photos-2/93041/

Matthew Vaughn on "Kick-Ass" Sequel

Posted: May 26th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

While promoting "X-Men: First Class," director Matthew Vaughn was asked for an update on the sequel to "Kick-Ass" since a sequel comic-book ("Kick-Ass: Balls to the Wall") has already been put together.

"We're still discussing that at the moment. We might do it," he said. "People forget that 'Kick-Ass' was made for $28 million and now with DVD and everything else has made $225 million in revenue. So it's done great business. A lot of people say it could be like 'Austin Powers,' how the first one people couldn't get their heads around, they all discovered it on video and then the second one was a huge blockbuster."

Vaughn continued: "My theory is I don't know how to make sure 'Kick-Ass 2' is as good as 'Kick Ass 1.' I enjoyed making the movie so much and I loved working with all the characters in it so who knows. There could be one but if I do a sequel to that it's gotta be just as good, if not better."

"Halloween 3" May Happen After "Hellraiser" Reboot

Posted: May 26th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

MTV caught up with director Patrick Lussier and writer Todd Farmer during the press junket for "Drive Angry" DVD, and asked about the third "Halloween" installment that the duo have been working on.

Farmer has already completed the script and they are in talks with the Weinstein Company to make the movie. Lussier explained: "We would make that the second somebody said, 'Yes, go make it,' because it's a script that we love and a script we're really passionate about and it's an amazing character and an incredible franchise, and it would just be a great experience for us to go back to the roots."

The plan was to make "Halloween 3" before "Drive Angry," but there wasn't enough time to make that happen. And now that they are working on the "Hellraiser" reboot, it may be a while before we get another "Halloween" film.

"Patrick and I had come up with sort of an idea and we went opening day to go see 'Halloween 2,' and we went out of there with an idea of how to continue it," said Farmer. "Hopefully if everything works out after 'Hellraiser' we'll go right in to 'Halloween.' Without cheating and with what [was] created in Zombie's [films], we'd continue the story and do so in a way that sort of brings us back to the tone of Carpenter that we started with."

Michael Fassbender on Playing James Bond After Daniel Craig

Posted: May 26th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff

There are plenty of people who would love to take over the James Bond franchise after Daniel Craig leaves the iconic role. P. Diddy has expressed interest and so has Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four).

Now, in an interview with Michael Fassbender, the actor was asked if he would be interested in the role considering that his version of Magneto was so Bond-like in "X-Men: First Class."

"I really don't plan anything ever because it never seems to work," said the actor. "I'm just [like] - let's just get this film out and see how this one does. And I'm sort of in the middle of doing [Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus']. And Daniel [Craig] is doing a great job. We'll see what happens. I'm very flattered that people are sort of making that link, but – I don't know. We'll see."

Question: Would you like to see Fassbender as James Bond?

Discovering a long forgotten bootlegger’s tunnel which runs from the very same bank to a theater across the alleyway, he convinces Max to file for his long overdue parole, then recruits his former cellmate to help stage a robbery.

The 30-year-old Source Code actor talked about his fitness routines, from biking to barefoot running!

“I’ve had to teach myself to slow down a bit. Because I get so into it, it becomes a real addiction. But it’s like a New Year’s resolution - to sit down and read a book. Life’s not a bike ride. I wouldn’t say exercise less, but sit with myself,” Jake shared.

“It’s not: ‘I’m having a s—-y day and I’m going to go for a run,’ but ‘I’m having a shitty day and I’m going for a run and I’m going to try to work out what’s going on.’ Not just get my serotonin levels up and feel good. I’m going to think about things. And the only way you can do that is to slow the pace down,” Jake added.

Here’s what the 58-year-old Unknown actor had to share:
On coping with grief after losing his wife, Natasha Richardson: “I think I survived by running away some. Running away to work. Listen, I know how old I am and that I’m just a shoulder injury from losing roles like the one in Taken. So I stay with the training, I stay with the work. It’s easy enough to plan jobs, to plan a lot of work. That’s effective. But that’s the weird thing about grief. You can’t prepare for it. You think you’re gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work. It hits you in the middle of the night — well, it hits me in the middle of the night. I’m out walking. I’m feeling quite content. And it’s like suddenly, boom.”
On his role in Battleship: “I’m the admiral of the fleet. But get this, I was in Belfast this summer, visiting my family, and my agent kept calling me, saying, Have you read that? Are you ready? And I said for what now? The shooting isn’t till December. And he said no, no, no. It’s Sep-tember. They need you this coming Wednesday! I’d completely let it slip my mind.”

Warner Bros. Buys Rights to BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Reboot; Whit Anderson to Pen the Script

by Matt Goldberg    Posted: November 22nd, 2010

In May 2009, we reported that Fran and Kaz Kuzui were going to re-launch Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a feature film but without the input of Joss Whedon (and after reading Buffy: Season Eight, that might be a good thing).  In a press release, it was announced that Warner Bros. has now optioned the rights from the Kuzuis and that Atlas Entertainment and Vertigo Entertainment will produce.  Whit Anderson has been brought on to write the script.  Atlas’ Charles Roven said of the new take “Details of the film are being kept under wraps, but I can say while this is not your high school Buffy, she’ll be just as witty, tough, and sexy as we all remember her to be.”  Hit the jump for the full press release.
Here’s the press release:
WARNER BROS. PICTURES SHOWS ITS FANGS WITH A
“BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER” REBOOT
LOS ANGELES, NOVEMBER 11, 2010 – Atlas Entertainment announced today it is rebooting the beloved franchise, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Warner Bros. Pictures. Atlas’ Charles Roven and Steve Alexander will produce the feature film alongside Doug Davison and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment (The Ring, How to Train Your Dragon, The Departed). Whit Anderson is writing the script.
Warner Bros. Pictures optioned the rights from creators Fran and Kaz Kuzui, and from Sandollar Productions (Sandy Gallin and Dolly Parton), for Atlas and Vertigo to produce. Buffy the Vampire Slayer first appeared as a film in 1992, subsequently becoming a cult hit and spawning the wildly popular television series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz, among many others.
“Whit approached us with an exciting idea about how to update Buffy,” said Roven. “There is an active fan base eagerly awaiting this character’s return to the big screen. We’re thrilled to team up with Doug and Roy on a re-imagining of Buffy and the world she inhabits. Details of the film are being kept under wraps, but I can say while this is not your high school Buffy, she’ll be just as witty, tough, and sexy as we all remember her to be.”
Whit Anderson is represented by CAA, Wirehouse Entertainment and Julian Zajfen at Ziffren, Brittenham, Branca, Fischer, Gilbert-Lurie & Stifflemen.

Joss Whedon’s Statement About the Upcoming BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Reboot

by Ramses Flores    Posted: November 22nd, 2010

Earlier today, we reported that Warner Bros have bought the rights to Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Whit Anderson set to write the film.  If you’re like me, you immediately think of Joss Whedon when you think of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Sadly though, the show runner of the original beloved series will not be involved with this upcoming film in anyway whatsoever.  Judging by the comments left on a number of sites, this has frustrated and angered many Whedonites and fans of the original series.
Now, only a couple of hours later, Joss Whedon has made a statement regarding his thoughts on the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot.  You can read his clever and very Whedonesque comments after the jump.

joss_whedon_buffy_castEW sent an email over to Whedon asking about his thoughts on the upcoming film, and Whedon started off his response by saying:
“This is a sad, sad reflection on our times, when people must feed off the carcasses of beloved stories from their youths—just because they can’t think of an original idea of their own, like I did with my Avengers idea that I made up myself.”
Whedon, later on in his response, goes on to say:
“Obviously I have strong, mixed emotions about something like this. My first reaction upon hearing who was writing it was, “Whit Stillman AND Wes Anderson?  This is gonna be the most sardonically adorable movie EVER.”  Apparently I was misinformed. Then I thought, “I’ll make a mint!  This is worth more than all my Toy Story residuals combined!” Apparently I am seldom informed of anything. And possibly a little slow. But seriously, are vampires even popular any more?

I always hoped that Buffy would live on even after my death.  But, you know, AFTER.  I don’t love the idea of my creation in other hands, but I’m also well aware that many more hands than mine went into making that show what it was. And there is no legal grounds for doing anything other than sighing audibly. I can’t wish people who are passionate about my little myth ill. I can, however, take this time to announce that I’m making a Batman movie.  Because there’s a franchise that truly needs updating. So look for The Dark Knight Rises Way Earlier Than That Other One And Also More Cheaply And In Toronto, rebooting into a theater near you.
Leave me to my pain!  Sincerely, Joss Whedon.”
For more information about the upcoming Whedon-less Buffy the Vampire Slayer film, you can read our post from earlier today and the article from when we first heard about the film back in May 2009.
