Abigail Breslin has signed on to star opposite Julianne Moore in Innocence, an adaptation of the novel by Jane Menelsohn. Breslin will play Beckett, “a recently bereaved teenage girl who finds herself the focus of everyone’s attention at her elitist private school, which is home to a nest of vampires.” Hilary Brougher (Stephanie Daley) is on board to direct.

Judi Dench and Michelle Monaghan will join
Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Garner in the indie thriller
Better Living Through Chemistry. The script from David Posamentier and Geoff Moore ranked 17th on
the 2010 Black List of Hollywood’s best unproduced screenplay, which provides
this logline: “A straight-laced pharmacist’s (Renner) uneventful life spirals out of control when he starts an affair with a trophy wife (Garner) customer who takes him on a joyride involving sex, drugs and possibly murder.” I really like this cast together, and I’m eager to see the ever-innocent Garner play against type.

Penned by actor Wentworth Miller ("Prison Break"), "Stoker" tells of a girl (Mia Wasikowska) and her mother who are visited by a mysterious uncle after the girl's father dies. Nicole Kidman is in talks to play the mother and Firth the uncle.
The Fox Searchlight film will begin shooting in late spring. Both Firth and Kidman will first meet with Park in LA this week to discuss their roles.

Posted: February 12th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com StaffCharlize Theron is in final negotiations to join Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) in Ridley Scott's "Prometheus," which was originally a prequel to "Alien" but has morphed into a more original sci-fi film.
Theron will play Vickers, one of the main female characters in the movie. She beat out Angelina Jolie for the role. Rapace will be the other female lead, playing scientist Elizabeth Shaw.
Fassbender told MTV that the film definitely has ties to the "Alien" franchise. "There's action in it," he said. "But the intelligence is what struck me when I read it. It's more sort of like the original ones. There are things happening and building, and the intelligence of the first two-thirds of the film gets you ready for the action."
Scott is currently working on the script with Damon Lindelof ("Lost"), and is scheduled to hit theaters on June 8th, 2012. http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=20645&count=0
