Brian Geraghty, Logan Huffman, and Madeleine Martin Take REFUGE With Krysten Ritter

by Brendan Bettinger    Posted: February 15th, 2011

Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker), Logan Huffman (V), and Madeleine Martin (Californication) have signed on to join Krysten Ritter (She’s Out of My League) in the indie drama Refuge.  Director Jessica Goldberg adapted the script from her own play, about “a young woman, Amy, forced to care for her younger brother and sister after her parents have abandoned the family and fled to Florida for a vacation from which they will never return.”
From the age breakdown, it looks like Ritter will play Amy, Huffman and Martin will play the younger siblings, and Geraghty will play Sam, a drifter that romances Amy.  Hit the jump for the synopsis for Goldberg’s play.

Justin Lin in Talks to Direct "Terminator 5"

Soon after Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that he'll be taking film offers, Universal Pictures got interested in developing a fifth installment in the "Terminator" franchise.

The studio is looking to get Justin Lin (Fast and Furious) to direct and Chris Morgan (Wanted) to write the script. There's no word whether the plan is to bring back Christian Bale to play John Connor (he is not contractually bound), but it's likely that Schwarzenegger will get a chance to be part of the new film. After all, James Cameron has stated several times that it's stupid to make a "Terminator" film without Schwarzenegger.

About a year ago, William Wisher, who collaborated with James Cameron on "Terminator" and "Terminator 2," said that he has written a 24-page treatment for the next film and a four-page outline for the sixth. He said it picks up after "Terminator Salvation" and contains the element of time travel.

Two Directors in Talks to Helm "GI Joe" Sequel

Posted: February 15th, 2011 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
THR is reporting that Paramount Pictures has narrowed down their list of director to helm the upcoming "GI Joe" sequel to two very different candidates.

The first is F. Gary Gray, the man behind such films as "Law Abiding Citizen," "The Italian Job" and "The Negotiator," and Jon Chu who is known mostly for "Justin Bieber's Never Say Never" and the last two "Step Up" installments.

"GI Joe 2" is a high priority for the studio, which hopes to begin filming in June of next year. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has already met with both directors, who have yet to meet with Paramount executives.

New Clip And Images From Joe Wright's Teen Assassin Thriller Hanna

Hanna is the next film from director Joe Wright, but even though it stars his Atonement actress Saoirse Ronan, don't think for a minute this is anything like a British period piece or even a beautifully photographed film about romance of any kind. This time around Ronan is playing a killer, raised in the woods by her father (Eric Bana) to be ruthless and tough, sent on the run throughout Europe while hunted by the harsh CIA agent (Cate Blanchett) who killed her mother years before. The movie looks great-- it wouldn't be a Wright film if it didn't-- but it also features more violence, action and gritty modern locales than anything we've seen from Wright before.

I saw Hanna tonight at a special screening in New York, though sadly I'm forbidden from saying much more for a while. One my way out of the screening, though, I was given a flash drive that included the first released clip from the film plus some brand new images. You can check them all out below, and see larger versions of the images in our Blend Film Database. Just a few seconds into this clip you'll realize this is not the same Joe Wright we've known before-- and with the music from the Chemical Brothers and the flashing strobe light in the background, that feels like a very good thing. Hanna opens April 8.
