Preview of our DOLPHIN TALE Set Visit; Plus First Images

So many set visit offers start the same way. “Would you like to go to Florida to see the set of Charles Martin Smith’s Dolphin Tale? It stars Ashely Judd and Morgan Freeman, and you may get to talk to all three.” How does one say no? One doesn’t. I was sent with a handful of online journalists to go on set and meet its stars.
The film is based on the true story of Winter, a dolphin who lost most of her tail in a crab trap. She was considered a lost cause until a doctor (played in the film by Morgan Freeman) invented a prosthetic tail for her. The film is currently set to be released September 23, 2011. We’ll have interviews with Charles Martin Smith, Ashley Judd, Morgan Freeman, and more once the embargo lifts, but until then I can tell you what the set was like. Hit the jump for more.

Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth Join THE HUNGER GAMES

by Matt Goldberg    Posted: April 4th, 2011

Last Friday, we reported that Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are All Right) and Liam Hemsworth (The Last Song) were the frontrunners to play Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne, respectively, in Gary Ross’ adaptation of The Hunger Games.  Lionsgate has now sent out a press release confirming that the actors have joined the film and will play their respective roles as the love-interest and hunting partner of protagonist Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).
Hit the jump to check out the press release.  I haven’t gotten around to reading the book yet so I expect fans to sound off in the comments section to tell me whether or not this is good casting.  The Hunger Games is set to be released on March 23, 2012.

Jaden Smith Joins Will Smith in M. Night Shyamalan’s Untitled Sci-Fi Project

by Matt Goldberg    Posted: April 4th, 2011

The Smith household has apparently not received the memo that M. Night Shyamalan should not be writing or directing movies.  Back in October, we reported that Will Smith had signed on to star in Shyamalan’s sci-fi project One Thousand A.E. and that Smith’s son Jaden may co-star.  We have now received a press release announcing that the film has lost its title but gained a tiny Smith.
The script (written by Shyamalan and Gary Whitta) is set 1,000 years in the future and has a young boy (Jaden) navigating an abandoned and sometimes scary Earth to save himself and his estranged father (Will) after their ship crashes.  Apparently the Smith family wants to test how strong their charisma can carry a film over inert directing and awful screenwriting.  Hit the jump for the press release.

Morgan Freeman in 'Red'

hot and sexy morgan freeman, oscar winner morgan freemanThere are two or three months we returned account owing to the fact that Bruce that Willis is a man of actionwho always has a slate of action films aligned for. One of these films is an adaptation of the red authorized cartoon of Wildstorm/DC, and now it appears that Morgan Freemanis in the talks to join Willis in the account to suspense of espionage.

Brothers Eric and John Hoeber (who of writing wrote the adaptations of Whiteoutand Alice) are placed to park the manuscript for the red, which must be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura (transformers, G.I. Joe) and marks Vahradian. Beside them be a exec Gregory of which Noveck of cartoons of C.C, will be useful executive producer. No director was brought on board still.

The comic original red (written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Cully Hamner) was a series of three-delivers published in 2003-04, and was approximately, an old agent of the CIA black-ops now living a quiet life in the retirement until the day when an assassin of point reveals it with intention on the massacre. Perhaps did Freeman have so much the recreation to work with desired that he wanted (obtain it?) to be a part of more than action of assassin. I would like to think thus.
