Orlando Bloom: 'Main Street' Stud

Orlando Bloom and Amber Tamblyn take a stroll together in the upcoming film Main Street, which also stars Colin Firth, Ellen Burstyn, and Patricia Clarkson.

A small rural town is slowly fading away as the industries it once relied on have turned to dust, leaving empty, vacant warehouses across the landscape. Old Georgiana Carr (Burstyn), once an heir herself but now in the same financial extreme as her neighbors, sadly decides to sell the house she’s lived in her whole life.

But when a stranger, Mr. Gus Leroy (Firth), comes to town with an offer to rent one of Georgina’s warehouses and the promise of a new business venture that will turn things around, the residents are intrigued and excited. As they embrace the newcomer, he becomes involved in their professional and personal lives in a way none of them expected, especially after they discover that Leroy’s business could put them all in danger.

Sandra Bullock: Workout Woman!

Sandra Bullock braves the cold weather in some workout gear to go to the gym on Friday (February 4) in New York.
The day before, the 46-year-old actress went to the gym and later grabbed some groceries from Whole Foods.
Sandra is currently making NYC her home while she films her next movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close alongside Tom Hanks.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan to Star in Horror-Thriller DIBBUK BOX

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to star in the horror-thriller Dibbuk Box for Lionsgate and Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures.  Lionsgate has already set the film’s release for October 28th, a Halloween weekend now absent their Saw franchise.  Danish director Ole Bornedal (The Substitute) will direct a script by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White based on true events.  According to Variety,

“Morgan will star as a recently divorced father whose youngest daughter becomes strangely connected to an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. As his daughter’s behavior becomes more erratic, the father senses a dark presence building until he discovers that the box was built to contain a dibbuk — a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.”

While many folks probably don’t know what a Dibbuk is (unless they saw A Serious Man), I suppose Dibbuk Box is a better title than Yard Sale Ghost.

First Images from MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS Starring Jim Carrey

The first images from Mark Waters’ adaptation of the children’s book Mr. Popper’s Penguins have gone online.  The film stars Jim Carrey as,

“Tom Popper, a New York real estate developer who tears down beloved landmarks (like Tavern on the Green) and erects cookie-cutter skyscrapers in their place. His one-track mind-set leaves him estranged from his family, including his wife (Carla Gugino), who has divorced him and moved on to a new relationship.  And for years he has been out of contact with his “kooky” father, who leaves him with an unusual inheritance: a penguin. The bewildered Popper registers a complaint which is met with the arrival of another five birds.

The film uses real penguins instead of CGI and used refrigerated sets to keep the adorable animals cool.  Hit the jump to check out the images.  Mr. Popper’s Penguins is due out August 12th.
