New Trailer for THE HANGOVER PART II
by Jason Barr Posted: March 31st, 2011
Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for The Hangover Part II. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this new trailer. It gives a solid sense of setting, does a good job of setting up the obstacles without giving too much away, and makes use of a track from the new Kanye album (always a plus, for me). Nevertheless, I can’t help but feel as if the trailer is a little too self-referential to the original (i.e. Alan’s love of terrible toasts and penis jokes, and Stu’s fear of once again breaking his teeth). Just my opinion, though.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer. Directed by Todd Phillips, The Hangover Part II stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Jeffrey Tambor, Mike Tyson, Justin Bartha, and Ken Jeong. The film opens May 26th.
Steve Carell and Keira Knightley in Talks for SEEKING A FRIEND AT THE END OF THE WORLD
by Brendan Bettinger Posted: March 31st, 2011
Steve Carell and Keira Knightley are in negotiations to star in the romantic comedy Seeking a Friend at the End of the World, which follows “a search by one man (Carell) for a meaningful connection amid the end times.” The film will be the directorial debut of Lorene Scafaria, the writer of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist and lover of long titles. Scafaria is a member of the femme screenwriter collective the “Fempire” with Diablo Cody, Dana Fox, and Liz Meriwhether. (I like the group, but I’ll chip in $20 for the word “fempire” to go away.) THR reports that principal photography is scheduled for May in Los Angeles.
Following his departure from The Office after seven seasons, Carell looks to film Great Hope Springs and Burt Wonderstone later this year. He will next be seen opposite Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love, due July 29. Knightley recently wrapped production with Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender on the Sigmund Freud/Carl Jung biopic A Dangerous Method. Knightley is set to reunite with director Joe Wright (Atonement) for an adaptation of Anna Karenina.

by Dave Trumbore Posted: March 31st, 2011
Ryan Reynolds is a busy man — his schedule is currently mapped out clear into 2014. In the next few years, Reynolds will portray characters in three comic book adaptations (Green Lantern, R.I.P.D. and Deadpool) and voice a character in the DreamWorks Animation flick The Croods. DreamWorks must have liked working with Reynolds as Variety reports the studio is in final talks with the Green Lantern star to voice Turbo, the world’s fastest snail.
David Soren (Merry Madagascar) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever After). Turbo is schedule for release on June 7, 2013. Hit the jump for the full synopsis for Turbo.

Chloe Moretz to Join Tim Burton’s DARK SHADOWS
by Adam Chitwood Posted: March 31st, 2011
Chloe Moretz is the latest actress to join the burgeoning cast of Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows. The cast now includes Johnny Depp in the lead role, with Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jackie Earl Haley, Helena Bonham Carter and Bella Heathcote among those already on the project. Deadline reports that Moretz is in talks to play the daughter of Pfeiffer’s character.
Just the other day, Thomas McDonell joined the cast as the younger version of Depp’s character, and Michael Sheen is rumored to be in contention to play the father of Gulliver McGrath’s (The Lovely Bones) character. The film is a remake of the 1960’s gothic soap opera of the same name.
