Ashley Greene: Glamour Bombshell

Ashley Greene: Glamour Bombshell
Ashley Greene is named “The Bombshell” in the May 2011 issue of Glamour magazine.
On her career post-Twilight: “It is difficult because people look at you as that character. I want to play a role of a 24-year-old woman, not 17-year-old girls. So I have picked a couple of films like Butter to show that. And it’s perfectly fine not to do anything for a year if I don’t find the right thing.”
On how it all started at a modeling convention in New York: “I’m a big believer in ’everything happens for a reason.’ I’m not saying it wasn’t hard. I lived off Lean Cuisine and had no furniture and shared a bedroom with a girl for a year. I ran up my credit card. But every time I thought, I’m going to fail, something happened that kept me here.”
On how she avoids the pitfalls of the Hollywood party scene: “I keep to the ground rules. I’m not going to get drunk at a bar. There are younger girls who look up to me. So I do my best not to stray too far.”
FYI: Ashley is wearing a J.Crew cardigan and Nanette Lepore bikini top and bottom.http://justjared.buzznet.com/2011/03/29/ashley-greene-glamour-bombshell/

Freida Pinto: Glamour Goddess

Freida Pinto: Glamour Goddess
Freida Pinto is named “The Goddess” in the May 2011 issue of Glamour magazine.
On relationships in Hollywood: “When a doctor is performing an operation, his mind cannot be somewhere else. And it’s the same with actors. You have to commit yourself mind, body and soul to a project in order to do justice to it. And temptations are rife in this industry, which is why I think it’s important to know yourself before you try to deal
On ethnicity in Hollywood: “I think people are starting to become more color-blind in the industry. Of course, my Indian-ness cannot be ignored. At the same time, if I am being considered for a romantic comedy, I would like if [the script] didn’t try to inject as much ethnicity into the story as possible.”
On filming in Tunisia when the uprising broke out: “There was a civil war going on. People were burning down shops and malls; there was killing and bloodshed. I was stuck in this massive hotel with 354 rooms and only six guests. The lights kept shutting down, and there was a 5:00pm curfew. But I wasn’t there by myself: Dev [Patel, her Slumdog co-star and current boyfriend] came down to see me. I was so glad I had company.”
FYI: Freida is wearing a bra top and shorts by Peter Som and Louis Vuitton Swarovski rhinestone and resin ring. http://justjared.buzznet.com/2011/03/29/freida-pinto-glamour-goddess/

Ginnifer Goodwin Covers 'Lucky' May 2011
Ginnifer Goodwin wears Vera Wang as she graces the cover of Lucky magazine’s May 2011 issue.
Here’s what the 32-year-old actress had to share:
On the costumes from some of her movie roles: “I’ve played a lot of characters where I’ve worn something”—she pauses— “not flattering.”
On her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee: “I truly believe that the kindest people on the planet live in Memphis.”
On one of her favorite Memphis shopping spots: “(Hoot + Louise) is a perfect little boutique on a bada– historic corner. It’s half vintage and half new.”
On the Memphis boutique that sparked her interest in fashion: “When I first got interested in fashion, (Isabella) is where I would come. And half my closet is composed of striped shirts.”

Emma Stone Covers 'Glamour' May 2011

Emma Stone Covers 'Glamour' May 2011
Emma Stone rocks a D&G dress on the cover of Glamour magazine’s May 2011 issue.
Here’s what the 22-year-old actress had to share:
On the best advice her mom’s given her: “She is the greatest person on earth. She always helps me deal with things as they happen instead of planning them all out ahead of time. But that’s one of 600 billion pieces of advice she’s given me. “
On what she looks for in a guy: “Honestly, I cannot put a finger on it. One guy could do something that I would find deplorable, and [with] another guy I’d find it charming…. It depends on the person. The one thing that needs to be there is that indefinable spark of sorts. But I’m 22 years old…. I have no idea what I’m talking about. [Laughs.]
On the pressure to be thin in Hollywood: “You’re a human being, you live once and life is wonderful, so eat the damn red velvet cupcake.”
Emma finished her look with Nina Basharova gold bangles with precious gems and Heike Grebenstein Fine Jewelry gold bangles.

Rob Lowe: Shirtless for 'Vanity Fair' May 2011

Rob Lowe: Shirtless for 'Vanity Fair' May 2011
Rob Lowe leans against a surfboard and shows off his fit physique on the cover of Vanity Fair’s May issue.
The 47-year-old actor shared an excerpt from his upcoming book, Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography, with the fashion mag and also dished on his Masquerade co-star Charlie Sheen.
“We competed to see who could play harder, then show up for work and still kick ass. The verdict: Charlie by a nose,” Rob revealed about working with the troubled actor back in 1987.
In his book, Rob also writes about first meeting Tom Cruise, who at the time was a houseguest of the Sheens, at an audition in L.A.
“He’s open, friendly, funny, and has an almost robotic, bloodless focus and an intensity that I’ve never encountered before,” he recalled.
Rob’s Vanity Fair cover hits newsstands this Thursday in NYC and L.A., and April 5 nationwide.
