Amy Adams Covers 'Marie Claire' January 2011
Amy Adams shows off her hot post-baby body on the cover of Marie Claire’s January issue.
Here’s what the 36-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On her new movie The Fighter: “What’s funny is that some people who’ve seen it have said, ‘Amy, you’re finally playing yourself!’ It’s not that she’s like me. It’s just that she’s less naive.”
On husband Darren Le Gallo: “[He's] not competitive with me, which is great. That just wouldn’t work. We’re a family, and he’s really embraced his role as a father [to our 7-month-old daughter Aviana].
On choosing roles: “I’ve never really been too concerned with how I’ve looked on-screen. And I’ve never really played a stylish, modern, glamorous girl. But with these last two movies [The Fighter and On the Road] I’ve done, I was raw. I hope that’s the journey I’m on. It just feels more honest.”
UPDATE: Amy picked up a Golden Globe nomination — Best Supporting Actress for The Fighter. Congrats!!

On working at a sandwich shop after The Notebook: “I’d never had a real job.” The problem with Hollywood, he goes on, is that nobody works. “They have meals. They go to Pilates. But it’s not enough. So they do drugs. If everybody had a pile of rocks in their backyard and spent every day moving them from one side of the yard to the other, it would be a much happier place.”
On being surprised by his success but knowing it could end: “Look, this is crazy. I don’t understand how I’m here, living this life, wearing this suit. I assume I’m going to pay for it someday.”
