New Poster for THE DEBT Starring Helen Mirren and Sam Worthington

A new poster has been released for The Debt. The film was originally scheduled to come out last year, but the Miramax hubbub put the picture in limbo. Recently, Focus Features acquired the flick and will now release it on August 31st.
Directed by John Madden (Shakespeare in Love), The Debt stars Helen Mirren, Tom Wilkinson, and Ciaran Hinds as older versions of the characters played by Jessica Chastain, Sam Worthington, and Marton Csokas. Hit the jump to check out the poster, as well as Focus’ cut of the trailer.





Alexander Skarsgard Joins WHAT MAISIE KNEW Starring Julianne Moore

True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard has joined the cast of What Maisie Knew. The dramedy, adapted from the novel by Henry James, stars Julianne Moore and Steve Coogan. The story centers on 6-year-old Maisie, who is dealing with the divorce of her rock icon mother (Moore) and art dealer father (Coogan). THR reports that Skarsgard will play Moore’s new husband. Scott McGehee and David Siegel are directing from a script by Nancy Doyne and Carroll Cartwright. The story will be set in contemporary New York. Hit the jump to read a synopsis of James’ novel.



Over 30 New Images from THE HANGOVER PART II

Warner Bros. has released a slew of images from The Hangover Part II. A few of them we’ve seen before, but a number of them are brand new. While I like the idea behind releasing a bunch of images, I hope they’re not spoiling a good deal of the film.
Hit the jump to check out the bevy of images. Directed by Todd Phillips, The Hangover Part II stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Jamie Chung, and Ken Jeong. The film hits theaters on May 26th.




Dylan McDermott Joins NOBODY WALKS and THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER

Dylan McDermott (Dark Blue) was recently tapped as the lead opposite Connie Britton in American Horror Story, a new drama Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (Glee) are developing for FX.  Variety reports McDermott has set up two feature roles prior to filming on the pilot.  The first is Nobody Walks, the indie dramedy which centers on “a Los Angeles family that takes in a stranger who winds up disrupting their lives.”  John Krasinski, Olivia Thirlby, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Jane Levy also star.  Ry Russo-Young (You Won’t Miss Me) will direct from a script she co-wrote with Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture).
Next up is the adaptation of the popular Stephen Chbosky young adult novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower about “a boy whose life dramatically changes as he learns about secrets buried deep in his past during his freshman year of high school.”  Logan Lerman is the boy; McDermott will play his father.  Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev, Mae Whitman, and Johnny Simmons also star.  Chbosky will direct.  Read the book synopsis after the jump.

The first trailer for romantic comedy Love, Wedding, Marriage, starring Mandy Moore and Kellan Lutz, has come online.
Directed by Dermot Mulroney, Love, Wedding, Marriage stars Mandy Moore as a relationship counselor who is suddenly hit with two pieces of life changing news: her parents are getting divorced and her boyfriend has proposed. Finding herself invested in trying to get her parents back together before their anniversary party, she finds herself and her fiancee growing apart.


Love, Wedding, Marriage comes to theaters June 3rd, 2011 and stars Mandy Moore, Kellan Lutz, Jessica Szohr, Jane Seymour, James Brolin, Michael Weston, Joe Chrest, Monica Acosta. The film is directed by Dermot Mulroney.

Monte Carlo Trailer

On a freewheeling, no-frills trip through Paris, three young woman become mistaken for royalty in director Thomas Bezucha's upcoming romantic comedy Monte Carlo. Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester, and Katie Cassidy star in Monte Carlo, which arrives this summer on July 1st. 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer, which you can check out below.

Second The Debt Trailer

Sam Worthington goes head-to-head with Helen Mirren in director John Madden's latest thriller The Debt. Miramax Films and Focus Features have released the second trailer for The Debt, which you can check out below.
Helen Mirren and Sam Worthington star in "The Debt," the powerful story of Rachel Singer, a former Mossad agent who endeavored to capture and bring to trial a notorious Nazi war criminal-the Surgeon of Birkenau-in a secret Israeli mission that ended with his death on the streets of East Berlin. Now, 30 years later, a man claiming to be the doctor has surfaced, and Rachel must go back to Eastern Europe to uncover the truth. Overwhelmed by haunting memories of her younger self and her two fellow agents, the still-celebrated heroine must relive the trauma of those events and confront the debt she has incurred.


The Debt comes to theaters August 31st, 2011 and stars Sam Worthington, Helen Mirren, CiarĂ¡n Hinds, Marton Csokas, Tom Wilkinson, Jessica Chastain, Jesper Christensen. The film is directed by John Madden.

The Perfect Host Trailer

Nick Tomnay co-writes and directs The Perfect Host, a new thriller starring David Hyde Pierce and Clayne Crawford. The story finds career criminal John Taylor (Nathaniel Parker) having to crash a dinner after robbing a bank, only to find that his new host (David Hyde Pierce) might just be insane. Warwick Wilson is the consummate host. He carefully prepares for a dinner party, the table impeccably set and the duck perfectly timed for 8:30 p.m. John Taylor is a career criminal. He's just robbed a bank and needs to get off the streets. He finds himself on Warwick's doorstep posing as a friend of a friend, new to Los Angeles, who's been mugged and lost his luggage. As the wine flows and the evening progresses, we become deeply intertwined in the lives of these two men and discover just how deceiving appearances can be.
