Kate Winslet: Yo Dona Awards!
Kate Winslet arrives at the Yo Dona International Awards held at the Palacio de Cristal de Arganzuela on Tuesday (June 21) in Madrid, Spain.
The 35-year-old British actress donned Victoria Beckham and hit the stage during the ceremony, where she was honored with an award for her humanitarian work.
Kate’s Mildred Pierce co-star, Guy Pearce, recently praised her work ethic on the set of the HBO miniseries.
“Her intelligence and capacity to do this detailed and complex role while dealing with her personal life was just mind-blowing,” he told the L.A. Times.
“We all knew she was going through a breakup, and yet she was so present, and so prepared. And furthermore, she’s funny, and forever entertaining to be around. She’s a real leveler - to her, everyone in the room is equal. She’s the bee’s knees, really,” he added.

Sophia Bush Covers 'Zooey' Magazine June/July 2011
Sophia Bush graces the cover of Zooey magazine’s June/July 2011 issue.
Here’s what the 28-year-old actress had to share:
On always being passionate about activism: “It’s funny. As a kid, I asked my mom if I could start a beach clean up on Saturdays with my friends. She said, ‘Well, Sweetheart, I don’t think many six-year-olds are going to want to go to the beach and pick up trash on Saturday.’ But, I was very gung ho about the whole thing. Causes and social issues have always really registered with me.”
On doing the right thing: “I think I’ve always had a very clear idea of what’s right and wrong. And a very clear sense that we should always try to do the right thing, even when it’s not the easy thing. It’s something that I think baffled my parents at moments, but they’ve been really supportive, too. They’ve given me an excep tional education, from the time that I was a little girl.”

Evan Rachel Wood Debuts Pixie Cut
Evan Rachel Wood shows off her dramatic shorter hairdo at the True Blood Season 4 premiere on Tuesday (June 21) at the ArcLight’s Cinerama Dome in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old hit the red carpet in a pair of gray pants with a matching vest and red suspenders all by Dolce&Gabbana.
Evan recently chatted with Britain’s Stella magazine about growing up in the spotlight.
“Everybody is entitled to be crazy in their 20s. I think I was making up for lost time. I was trying everything, touring with a rock band, trying different looks, exploring who I was sexually as a woman,” she explained.
“I never wanted to look back and be like, ‘Oh, man. I wish when I was young I had just hopped on that tour bus,” she added.
