Trailer and Poster for LIMITLESS Starring Bradley Cooper
by Matt Goldberg Posted: December 16th, 2010
Relativity Media has released the trailer and poster for Limitless (previously titled “The Dark Fields“). The film centers on a struggling writer (Bradley Cooper) who takes a special drug that allows him to utilize his entire mental capacity. Setting aside the fact that your brain doesn’t work on capacity but instead handles various functions, the film looks like it could be an interesting thriller…or a complete garbage. While I liked Cooper back when he was on Alias, I don’t know if he can carry film. Also, I’m not crazy about rooting for a protagonist whose “perfect” life is simply being disgustingly rich. Hopefully director Neil Burger (The Illusionist) can pull it all together, although this is his first feature where he didn’t also write the screenplay. The script was penned by Leslie Dixon (Pay It Forward) based on the book by Alan Glynn.

Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro star in Limitless, a paranoia-fueled action thriller about an unpublished writer whose life is transformed by a top-secret smart drug that allows him to use 100% of his brain and become a perfect version of himself. His enhanced abilities soon attract shadowy forces that threaten his new life in this darkly comic and provocative film.

by Adam Chitwood Posted: December 16th, 2010
Production on the long-in-development Mr. Popper’s Penguins is finally underway, and the first photos of star Jim Carrey on set have hit the web. The film, based on the popular children’s book by Richard and Florence Atwater, tells the story of a high-powered New York businessman who inherits six penguins. The penguins seem to derail the life of Mr. Popper, but instead end up changing his life for the better. The film stars Carrey, Carla Gugino, Ophelia Lovibond, and Philip Baker Hall. The film was originally set to be directed by Noah Baumbach, with Ben Stiller starring, but the two left the project back in April.
Directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls), the comedy is set to hit theaters on August 12, 2011. Hit the jump to check out the images.
